Anxiety and fear can be overwhelming and add stress to our days. Life has been exceptionally challenging for everyone recently, so the aim of these classes is to help let go of the physical, emotional and mental effects of the tension which has built up.
​
Systema for Health classes place equal attention on improving mental, physical and emotional health. It focuses on releasing anxiety, fear and tension by using a combination of movement and breathing exercises. These may be made up of movements on the ground, movements whilst standing, walking, seated and occasionally using equipment like sticks, chairs, or the environment we train in, such as walls, stairs and trees, all whilst paying attention to our breath for deep relaxation and calmness.

The aim is to explore methods of releasing tension, calming the mind of overactive thoughts, relaxing the body and increasing mental resilience.

General class format:
​
Warm up: 5-10 minutes
Exercise and movement: 30 minutes
Breathing session: 10 minutes
Feedback session: 5-10 minutes
