CLASSES

Tai Chi for beginners

January - February 2025

Thursday 9th January to 13th February. 12:15pm - 1:15pm
6 week block for £60
Location: Ceri Sport, 65-67 Station Road, Flitwick,
Bedfordshire, MK45 1JU

The focus will be on teaching a short sequence of movements, which people can practice in class and at home on their own.  We will explore the moves and how they are performed correctly, so they can be used to improve health (joints, muscles, balance and co-ordination) and how they can be used in conjunction with meditation techniques and breathing practices to enable a fuller experience of the art.

The aim of this short course is to introduce everyone to the art of Tai Chi and to see how it could be used to calm the mind, relax the body and to learn how to slow down, in a fast paced world.

We have one monthly class available for people to attend; Qigong and Neigong.

The Qigong classes deep dive into the "internal' aspects of movements which are the underlying mechanisms found in Qigong, Tai Chi and other internal martial/health arts.

The 2025 classes will focus on the intricacies of the Circling Hands Set, where not only the foundational aspects of Qigong and Neigong will be explored, but we will also touch upon deeper aspects of the work.

Circling Hands is a short sequence of movements, designed to keep the learning of simple, easy to learn choreography to a minimum, whilst being able to incorporate beginner to advanced level material.
